Show Notes

Heather Lane Chauny is the Founder/Owner of Heather Lane Adventures.  Heather Lane Adventures offers "a purpose-driven travel boutique that connects curious adventurers to different people, places and ways of thinking about and seeing the world."

Heather's travel philosophy also happens to be her tagline:

"Travel global, Live local  (global travel does include the United States of America). While relaxing and refreshing at times, travel for me is not an escape but rather an immersive experience, where I can learn as much as possible about a place, its people and its culture as a local might (and reserve time to sit back and enjoy the view). My core values include sustainability and respecting the rich biodiversity and ecology of the places I visit, and honoring and learning about the cultures of the people in those places."

In her words, she is your "travel architect".  With a passion for travel that began after riding Disney's "It's a Small World" at the age of 4.  Heather's childhood dream was to travel.

As of today, she has been to 45 countries, studied in Prague, Czech Republic; Budapest, Hungary; Brussels, Belgium; Barbados; Trinidad and Tobago; and Guyana, and lived and worked in South Africa and Costa Rica.

She holds a BA in International Relations from James Madison College at Michigan State University and an MPIA (Masters in Pacific and International Affairs) from the School of Global Policy and Strategy at the University of California, San Diego.

She speaks Spanish and Portuguese.
